Remove Part of a Video Online: Cut Out Any Section Free
Mark the parts you don't want, like a fumble at the start, a long pause in the middle or a section of a meeting, and ClipCut joins everything else back together. Remove one part or twenty in a single export. It runs on your device, so even large recordings are never uploaded.
Select a part you don't want, then press Remove this part. Repeat for as many parts as you like.
Off: instant and lossless, but each cut can keep up to a few extra seconds. On: every cut lands on the exact frame.
How to use the Remove Part of Video
- Drop your video onto the tool.
- Select a part you don't want with the two handles and press Remove this part. Repeat for every part you want gone.
- Press Remove parts and download the video with those sections cut out.
Cut out the middle, keep the rest
Most video cutters only let you keep one range. This tool does the opposite: it removes the sections you mark and stitches the rest together, so you can drop a mistake, an ad read or a dead stretch from the middle of a video without losing the ending.
Lossless by default, frame-exact when you need it
Fast mode copies the original video without re-encoding, so there is no quality loss and even an hour-long recording finishes quickly. Video can only restart on a keyframe, so in fast mode each cut can keep up to a few extra seconds. Turn on Precise mode and every cut lands on the exact frame.
Preview before you export
Removed parts show in red on the timeline and in a list. Press play and the preview skips them, so you hear exactly how the edit flows before you save it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove a part from the middle of a video?
Drop the video in, drag the two handles around the part you don't want, press Remove this part, then press Remove parts. Everything before and after it is joined together.
Can I remove several parts at once?
Yes. Mark as many parts as you like. They are listed under the timeline, and you can undo any of them before exporting.
Does removing parts reduce quality?
Not in the default fast mode, which copies the original video and audio. Precise mode re-encodes at high quality for frame-exact cuts.
Why did a little of a removed part stay in?
In fast mode a kept section has to start on a keyframe, which can be a few seconds before the point you picked. Turn on Precise mode for exact cuts.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your video never leaves your device.
